They look like some colors are messed up (around the eyes). But on the other hand, on the hair they look intentionally placed.

why the artifacts?

When you look at a lot of modern digital art, it mostly has a similar look, same goes for a lot of scene art, but Ra's work is always so unique. There is nothing like it anywhere else!

I would love to watch him work and try to understand his technique.

I would say his best picture from my point of view, excellent expression of beer-drinking mood, amazing details of clothes, hands and faces. I also like very much how the glass is painted here.

I'm really loving some of these concepts by Willy, but a lot of them lack aesthetical appeal and feel a bit hard on the eyes.
