Nice lipstick!
Dokk commented: "Speaks for itself really. I was a huge HHGTTG fan at the time, needless to say. He was one of the few people I actually wanted to meet. Not going to happen now."

Dokk - Life, the Universe and Everything (Comment by: Lanch 2011-09-30)
Dokk commented: "Loved the book, loved Douglas Adams, loved this cover image. And it was all monochrome, which was where I was at as a C64 artist at the time. Inspired by Bob & Doug's Pure Genius demo. Would have loved to have animated this, but didn't know any sophisticated programmers at the time."

Dokk - Leviathan Pic (Comment by: Lanch 2011-09-30)
Dokk commented: "My first loading screen, through Doug Hare's brother Rich. Tried too faithfully to reproduce the ad artwork, and failed. Rich pointed out later that being faithful to ad artwork was not my job. An astounding piece of advice that I didn't absorb until much later."

Dokk - Hammerfist Pic (Comment by: Lanch 2011-09-30)
Dokk commented: "I'm very proud of this image. Designed it meself since the artwork was just a fist punching through a wall, which would have looked awful as a loading screen."

Dokk commented: "This is a rare case where I used a program other than Paint Magic to make an image. I forget what it was called now (any ideas?) but it was software really design for a graphics tablet. I used a joystick regardless. My first experiment with depicting a face on the C64 with more than one colour. Horrible movie, sadly."

Dokk - Aliens Pic (Comment by: Lanch 2011-09-30)
Dokk commented: "I was a huge fan of the film, so this was a lot of fun to do. Experimenting with texture and atmosphere. Originally this was all in shades of blue, but Vasquez was basically invisible against the blue background, so accenting her with purple was the right choice. This was the beginning of the love affair I would have with blue and violet as a C64 colour scheme, as you'll see later. This image ended up in the Aliens Demo programmed by Graham Hunter."
