"I was a huge fan of the film, so this was a lot of fun to do. Experimenting with texture and atmosphere. Originally this was all in shades of blue, but Vasquez was basically invisible against the blue background, so accenting her with purple was the right choice. This was the beginning of the love affair I would have with blue and violet as a C64 colour scheme, as you'll see later. This image ended up in the Aliens Demo programmed by Graham Hunter."
