Dragon Flying by

Description
I sketched, inked, coloured this dragon tradtionally on paper, on 24-Hour Comics Day, then cleaned up the blank background and added the sky digitally. It is mostly inspired by the classic 1980s - '90s Dungeons & Dragons dragons by Larry Elmore and to some extent Jeff Easley and others, but is more of my own style, since Elmore's dragons usually are not formed in a way that would let them use tools, as perhaps the hands of Easley's dragons, and in Council of The Wyrms. If a dragon has five fingers, then it is hard to decide it it should have feet like birds, like most well-illustrated dragons, or something almost human, so I decided to do something in between. Out of my four coloured dragon pieces to date, this one is probably both three-dimensional enough (in the head) and with wings long enough and formed more realistically and like bats' ones, how most well-illustrated dragons are done. A larger version will be available on deviantART, and perhaps also free on Elfwood (not as large as the dA commercial file, which will, of course, be under a CC-BY-NC-SA license as long as people respect the request to only destribute new, derivative works).
