i am very sure that the original logo (even a copy though) was pixelled by erik simon. the first official released thalion game with gogo credited was tangram afair. talked to monika krawinkel recently who worked at thalion right from the beginning and she also doubt him as original artist.
i assume gogo added the "fantasy" and "simulation" text and some further detail.
