Oh, I totally love the weirdness of this picture. And the technique is pretty much refreshing. All in all a very unique work of art. Would give it a high place for sure. But that's just my imho.

Somehow reminds me of mermaid style. Beautiful coloring in the background.

my apologises to breeze. i didn't meant 100% ripping the picture or using of autoconversion tools of Mermaid's work.
i was just puzzled by some sameness of how leaves was pixelled on the both works, actually it is a part of other work, what is unacceptable at the most of the parties. sorry that i didn't conversated enough about that question with you at irc.

Glad to see steps for this.
So, is it really related to 8055?

I have seen this motive quite a few times like here from Splif: http://artcity.bitfellas.org/index.php?a=show&id=8866 and I think already Splif's version was inspired. For me it's about the fresh execution by Breeze in here.

Anarkhya, only background related to 8055, not the character itself.

@Breeze: Please, can you provide the "inspired by" image?

@Anarkhya: I will try to explain how it was actually...
Once we talked with riskej and he complained that at the ZX-Spectrum no such interesting works like as Mermaid at C64. I opened the "Under The Red Tree by Mermaid" and realized that the graphics modes, in principle, very close and it is tempting simply to port work from C64 to the ZX-Spectrum. But in any case it would not be my work and in this is not a lot of sense. At this moment I look thru the work "Balaibus by Splif", I was took a pencil and paper and began to draw...
...the result of which appeared sketch, photos of which I posted above.
Why I decided to take a chance and took the leaves from a tree by Mermaild? Yes, I know it was not a very good idea, it was already morning and I was in a hurry to have time to deadline, so ...
Next time I'll be careful before and I will try to calculate the time and opportunities.
And the main answer is... Yes, may assume my work is inspired by Balaibus

Understood, all points clarified, for me

Initially I've liked the picture a lot. However, it is way too much of taking of other's ideas way too close to the originals (let leave the few copy-pasted pixels alone). It would be better if you'd take the ideas in a way like 'a witch girl sitting under a tree', not 'the certain witch girl with the certain pose and details of outfit sitting under the certain tree'. It is well performed, anyway.

I very pity a bit, we did not find common language with the diver, though like him and i both a Russian.
I really hope what in this such sensitive matters, we will be more careful about hasty conclusions, and we will clarify many of the facts before you make thoughtful inferences.
Unfortunately, I can not delete or modify previously published comments, so I apologize for this misunderstanding.
